So many questions… but I think I am finally going to get off the 'yay\/nay pot', crack on and sort myself out a party for my birthday.<\/p>\n

Which, quite frankly, will be one I never thought i would be lucky enough to see, and certainly not lucky enough to see in roaring good health. <\/p>\n

So while most people might think – ooh 45, half way to 50, that's a shocker, might just book a small dinner and sob gently into my wine glass, then count the new wrinkles in the ever-unforgiving light of the ladies' loo, I kind of feel differently. <\/p>\n
Hence - the big 4-5 in October here we come! Demi-decades are definitely the way forward, much less harsh than a full one and a perfectly good excuse to rack up some mates and consume cocktails like they're going out of fashion. (And quite frankly, waiting till the 50th rolls round might be a rather bad move, so no time like the present, whispers the old 'reality hat' in my shell-like).<\/p>\n
Have seen one venue already (nope. we're not going there, ) and am getting some others lined up for this Friday. Ideal scenario is that one is chosen and booked before I head off to Miami next Friday (oh – did I mention that my annual shopping\/bars\/Caribbean island extravaganza is imminently upon me? Ho ho-de ho). And it would be all the better to head off to, with a marv venue up my sleeve.<\/p>\n
We will see…. Fingers crossed for that magical combination of 'fantastic place without ultra-ludicrous price tag and conditions attached'… Hmm, that's so likely in London, but here's hoping.<\/p>\n
