Yes – Mojo has been honing her top-notch stalking skills again. The first 'birdy love gift' was delivered to my bedside at midnight – one large sparrow, somewhat lacking in feathery plumage from the chase and definitely defunct. Just what you want to wake up to, have to extract from your cat's jaws, throw away (cue lots of bubblewrap and a couple of bags to mask any potential pong), then spend half an hour post-excitement drowning out the frantic cries of said cat, as she tries to work out where her delicious prize has gone.<\/p>\n
Thought that was a nice one-off, but no – twelve hours later, Mojo was back with another avian conquest – no idea what this was one was, apart from equally sizeable and equally dead. Scrumpy desperately trying to wrestle it from her, Mojo trying to guard her kill and Hawksey as ever being a total girl calling for me to come and sort it all out. Blouse!<\/p>\n
And both of us then trying to ignore the very plaintive bird cries from the now-emptier bush – from whichever parts of the bird family were still left. Oh dear..<\/p>\n
